Bethany J. Peak is a commercial and employment litigator. Her experience includes wrongful termination, defamation, anti-SLAPP litigation, real property disputes, and breach of contract matters.
As a member of the Litigation group, Ms. Peak represents clients in complex business torts matters, such as unfair competition, fraud, and trade secret appropriation claims. She is also an experienced employment defense litigator, having represented both mid-size and Fortune 500 companies in state and federal matters at the trial and appellate level. A business owner herself, Ms. Peak brings that experience and expertise as she advises and represents businesses in California.
Prior to joining LimNexus, Ms. Peak worked for several law firms in Southern California litigating matters ranging from insurance defense to complex torts.
Before entering private practice, Ms. Peak served as a law clerk for the Honorable Michele D. Hotten, who sits on the Maryland Supreme Court. Some published opinions include McClure v. Lovelace (2013) 214 Md. App. 716 and Sierra Club et al. v. Dominion Cove Point LNG, L.P. (2014) 216 Md. App. 322.
Ms. Peak earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, where she was selected as a Dean’s Fellow. She has served as a member of the Committee of Bar Examiners for the State Bar of California since 2018 and engages in pro-bono work in the Los Angeles area.
When she isn’t practicing law, Ms. Peak spends her time running her family-owned logistics business, visiting museums around the U.S. and enjoying California beaches.
