Hak (Haley) Kim focuses on business transactions, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. She also has experience in commercial litigation in matters involving contract disputes, civil litigation, maritime law and international arbitration.
Prior to joining LimNexus, Ms. Kim worked as general counsel for a global energy resource shipping company, handling or overseeing a wide range of corporate transactions and litigation matters. Ms. Kim primarily handled cases that concern maritime law, M&A, and corporate bankruptcy.
While working as general counsel, Ms. Kim went through M&A due diligence investigations for over 30 companies which were under bankruptcy process. She had also worked as counsel to creditors in numerous bankruptcy matters due to the market fall of the Korean shipping industry.
Ms. Kim participated in the LLM program at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Law while at Ewha Womans University. She served as a founding President for LEX Korea, the English-language law review at Ewha Womans University School of Law.
