September 29, 2011 – Lim Ruger Associate Norma Nava is the Vice President of For People of Color, Inc. (“FPOC”), a non-profit organization recently awarded the 2011 State Bar of California Diversity Award.
Established in 2001, the State Bar Diversity Award recognizes outstanding efforts and significant contributions in promoting diversity within the legal profession.
Since its founding, FPOC has focused on ensuring that the legal profession reflects California’s rich and bountiful diversity through its law school admissions workshops, academic support programs, and professional development seminars.
FPOC’s recognition by the State Bar follows a major grant by the California Minority Counsel Program Foundation and a Leadership Award to FPOC’s founder and Chairperson, Anthony Solana, Jr., by the Employment Roundtable of Southern California. Lim Ruger is proud to be a strong supporter of FPOC’s diversity efforts and congratulates the organization for this recognition and its achievements.
